A hydrostatic and/or gas booster test is a way in which the integrity of vessels, pipes, and other hollow equipment can be determined by internal pressurization of water, glycol, or other non-compressible liquids or inert gases at required pressures. Newly manufactured pieces are initially qualified, and then continually requalified, at regular intervals by using a hydrostatic or gas booster test system. Gas booster test systems are the same as hydrostatic test systems; however, they use inert gases instead of fluids. GCTR brand test systems include six series: Spartan, Apollo, Titan, Atlas, Hercules, and Poseidon. Each series has multiple configuration options and different optimum application types.
